about

The 4’20’ Sound have been experimenting with production of early digital dancehall, inspired by the signature sounds and production techniques of the late 80’s and early 90’s, than came up with a chunky riddim that made Byron Bay rumble every session with Oren Selecta & Baptist on stage. Not long after, the riddim was full of dubplates while some of UK’s finest deejays joined the project and there came the Banton Bandits Riddim.
Featuring on the riddim are: Parly B, his version Dance, an uplifting tribute to the girls in the dancehall who bring the vibe with their moves, Deadly Hunta with a special tribute to the pioneers of the genre from the early days till present with his song Love Reggae Music, Gappy Ranks tells a story about his childhood in England with his new hit Buckingham Palace and Baptiste tells his story about the concept of bringing the outernational dancehall culture to the weekly Monday session in Byron Bay with Banton Bandits and representing the reggae movement in the small surf town.
Oren Selecta (The 4’20’ Sound’s producer) also linked with Ranking Levy of My Lord Sound from Tel Aviv who was the first to voice a special cut for The 4’20’ Sound on the riddim and eventually together with his partner Ellen G designed an amazing artwork to present the project with their signature artistic style.

Banton Bandits Riddim is an absolute dancehall banger which proven to work on every set by The 4’20’ Sound either played on a DJ set or live.

The riddim is to be released in the beginning of April 2017 and will be available on digital platform and limited copies of 12’’ vinyls!
