about
Glasgow’s Tom Spirals and the outer-national 4’20 Sound are serving up a deep mellow roots style for their first cross-continent release.
“If We Got Here Easy” originated as a simple acoustic love song ,written by Tom Spirals on his recent tour in Australia and was recorded with the help of the 4’20 Sound live band, featuring T.K on double bass, Cyprien (like a cyp) on the keys, Chelsea Sky-Eater & Empress Katia on backing vocals, at the Sky-Eater studios in the rolling foothills of the Northern Rivers hinterlands.
Since the recording session in January of 2020, 4’20's head honcho, Oren Selecta has perfected the production to create a deep yet gentle, heartwarming roots release. Spirals’ warm tone and a lazy-hazy flow adds to the warm sunshine sounds with lyrics to celebrate reaping the benefits of your patience and a heartfelt nod of acknowledgement to the rocky path of long-distance lovers.
The 4'20 Sound and Tom Spirals first met at the internationally-renowned club night Walk n Skank in Glasgow, where Spirals is the residence MC, in 2017. They maintained the link, and three years on have performed together extensively across the UK, Europe, New Zealand and Australia. Its with great pleasure we present to you their first official release.
Served with the recommend consumption guidelines of keep chilled and enjoy alongside a generous dose of sunshine.
